I don't think the 1/8 will make any difference. You'll see many senderos chambered in the 7mag which has a 9.25 and they are extremely accurate with the VLD's. The orginal LR1000 was fine tuned sendero. If you look in the early threads you'll fine recipes for your 95gr vld or you can email Walt Berger and he will send you a list of suggest powders and loads. Hope this helps.

cool thats for the reply. I have a sendero II in 300 rum and i have not had good luck with it yet. i broke it in with about 40 rounds (factory). once i started loadind for it i tried retumbo and a 180gr barnes tsx for south texas nilgai. retumbo show signs on the low end (working off the barnes book)sticky bolt and and just didnt feel right. tried rl 25 and it shoot ok 1 in with i think it was 85gr. well about 200 rounds later it now shoots 1 1/2. clean it about every 15 to 20 rounds. has anyone else had this problem.

Move your question down to Bullet,Cartridge and I think you'll get more answers. Separate the two questions ref 6mm and the 300rum. Good luck.

I have used the 95 gr. Vld's out of my 700 SPS Varmint with 9.25" twist in .243 win. They consistently shoot under 1/2" at 100 yds with 48.5 gr. RL25, rem. 9 1/2 primers and remington brass at 3020 f.p.s. I was able to try one out on a cow elk at 240 yds with a quartering to shot. Entrance was right where I held, right at the front point of the shoulder. The berger took out three ribs and did massive damage to the lungs, she only tok a few steps before she tipped over. I was pleased with the results. I don't typically hunt elk with a .243, I don't know that I would have shot at any great distances. Hope this helps!!

Roosterbrown77,
I'm shooting a savage 243, 95vld, H414,41.6gr,cci primers and seated .020 off the lands with a velocity of 3020 also. I still need to tweak the load and just wondering how far off the lands you're seating the bullet. I'm grouping around 1" at 100yd which is funny, because the rifle will shoot the Remington Acc-tip 95gr out of the box in the .2 and .3's at the same speed, but the energy level of the Berger far out reaches the Acc-tip by 150 yds. Any additional info would be great!
